Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Do you have a wait list?

No. We do not maintain wait lists because there are no guarantees when breeding. Mothers may not conceive, the number and sex of puppies in a litter is unpredictable, and live puppies are not guaranteed. A wait list would require a substantial fee and those funds might be held for longer than someone wants to wait.

Can we visit puppies or meet the mother before we adopt?

No. For the health and safety of our dogs, no puppy or pregnant or nursing mother will be on display or have any contact with anyone but Jessica and Joe (or the vet if needed) until puppies are vaccinated and the vaccine has been in their system for at least one to two weeks. This policy ensures our puppies and dogs stay safe and healthy.

What kind of training do puppies receive before they go home?

We start puppies on house training, crate training and grooming training. This gives them an excellent foundation. Temperament is fifty percent inherited and fifty percent environmental, so new owners must continue proper training to avoid undoing our hard work.

How do you ensure the health and temperament of your puppies?

All of our litters are planned. Our dogs are sound in health and temperament and most importantly sane. We strive to produce gorgeous puppies with excellent health, temperament and lineage. Puppies do not leave until we feel they are mature enough to handle the stress of going to a new home. We also limit contact with puppies until after vaccinations to protect their health.

What do you feed your dogs?

In addition to a high-quality dry dog food, our dogs are fed a variety of natural and organic foods and a daily vitamin. They enjoy natural/organic meats, different meats, fresh and cooked fruits and vegetables, along with a variety of organic eggs (cooked). This diet provides proteins, fatty acids and vitamins for healthy skin and muscle health.

How long do your dogs live?

We have longevity in our lines. Many of our dogs live well past the average age, into their late teens and even over twenty-one years. We believe this has a lot to do with good genetics and the quality foods and products we put into and onto our dogs.

What achievements have Foxcreek dogs earned?

Foxcreek dogs are tops in a variety of dog sports and activities. They have multiple Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show wins, and many are bred by champions. They also excel as therapy dogs and have earned titles in the AKC Temperament Test, Farm Dog, Obedience, Fast CAT, AKC CGC & CGCA, UKC DASH, HOP and Precision, as well as grooming competitions.

How do I inquire about a puppy?

Please call us. We prefer phone inquiries only because we like to speak directly with new owners. We want to understand where our puppies are going and what you are looking for in a new family member. Our puppies are not products; they are living companions we have spent many long hours preparing for a wonderful life.
